Pottabhi Jois and there obtained his agreement to do a book on Ashtanga yoga specifically for women. Her previous books are based on Western spiritual systems and healing beliefs.

MICHAELA CLARKE is an experienced Ashtanga yoga teacher who has been practicing since 1988. She completed teacher training and intermediate series with her teachers Derek Ireland and Radha in 1996 and has since been privileged to study with Sri K Pottabhi Jois in Mysore, India She currently teaches at Triyoga and the Life Centre in London.
