The real problem of man is his ignorance about his own reality of being consciousness, and his acceptance of himself as merely a body mind combination. This ignorance about the ‘self’ is the root cause of all his tensions, sufferings, struggles and fears in life.

The solution to this problem lies in his recognition that he is bound consciousness (jeev), and then to recognize himself as Shiv (unbound Cosmic Consciousness) through the removal of all bondages through yogic practices. This knowledge about one’s own reality is termed as gyaan which removes all miseries and sufferings.
