About me

My name is Christos Pavlou, and I was born on January 1950

At the age of 23 I came into contact with martial arts and specifically with Karate, Shotokan style. After many years of training, teaching and examinations I got my 3rd Dan, a coaching diploma and a professional license.

In 1985 I was introduced to Iyengar yoga, a practicing method that fascinated me. After many training trips to England, where I met and studied under remarkable teachers, in 1992 I visited the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India and as a member of the English team attended the last intensive teacher and dedicated student training course for one month with BKS Iyengar, his daughter Geeta and her son Prasant as teachers.

In 2000 the Italian teacher Bianca Strens, who had been visiting Greece for five years for training, recommended me to the Italian Federation for examinations and after a successful assessment I received the first two basic Iyengar yoga certificates, Introductory I & II.

Today I hold the Junior Intermediate III, (level three according to the new regulations) and I continue my personal practice and teaching.
