Weekly Schedule

Yoga class dos and don’ts

Come earlier: Arrive 5-10 minutes before class to allow time to change, adjust to the space and focus on the class that will follow. While waiting, you can relax or warm up. If you can’t arrive early, at least try not to arrive late. If you arrive at the time the short concentration has started at the beginning of class, please kindly wait until it is complete and then take your place into the practice hall.

Avoid leaving earlier: By leaving early, you abruptly interrupt your body from an energy class while distracting others. If you must nevertheless leave early, let us know at the beginning of the class so that we can indicate which asanas you should definitely do to relax before you leave.

Turn off your phone before you go into the practice hall: Please leave your social and professional life outside the studio so as not to disturb the calm and positive energy of the practice and of the space.

Take off your shoes on the way in: For hygiene reasons, shoes are not allowed in the studio areas.

Take care of your personal hygiene: Come to class clean, if possible, without perfumes, and take special care of your foot hygiene.

Eat a light meal at least 2 – 3 hours before the practice: After a full meal you have to wait even longer. Be particularly careful about your diet because practicing on a full stomach may cause discomfort, nausea, headache and even vomiting.

Do not bring bottles of water into the practice hall and do not drink water during the class.

Please keep your voice down and do not make noise: It’s great to do yoga with friends and people around you, but talking is distracting both to you and others who are practicing or relaxing. Please keep your voice low and be respectful of the practice of others, whether you are in the practice hall or in the changing room.

Change and leave your personal items in the changing room: Even if you come in with your practicing clothes, holding only your keys, please leave them on the changing room and not in the classroom. If you have something valuable with you, you can place it in the office and pick it up on your way out.

Caution: The studio is not responsible for any loss of personal items and valuables from the changing room and the classroom.

Wear lightweight clothes that facilitate movements and makes you feel comfortable: Prefer cotton ones which are more absorbent and hygienic. Leggings for women and shorts for men are ideal as they make it easier for us to control the alignment of your legs.

Keep your hairs tied up through the practice: This makes it easier for us to see that in each asana your neck and spine are aligned and in the right position, and it does not hinder your practice or distract you.

You may have your own personal yoga mat. The studio provides you with a yoga mat but for hygiene reasons, we think it is preferable for everyone to have their own, personal mat, which you are advised to wash regularly, especially if you sweat easily. If you already have a mat suitable for yoga, write your name on the back and leave it on the changing room shelves.

If you sweat too much have a towel with you: If you tend to sweat, carry a towel with you and use it during class so you don’t get distracted by sweat. Please also wipe your sweat off the floor to avoid accidents.

Entering the classroom take with yo u from the changing room the necessary props.

Let us know in advance of any injury or physical condition that may affect your practice: If there is an injury or health problem, it is advisable to let us know so that asanas that are contraindicated or that could aggravate it can be modified or avoided.

Do not hold your breath: During the practice, breathe normally. Inhale and exhale only through the nose.

Give yourself time and do your best: Doing your best without being overstressed and eventually get hurt. You will manage to improve your performance faster if you adopt a loving and respectful attitude to your body and ‘you work’ from exactly where you are and not from where you would like or do you think you should be!

“Know yourself”: Yoga is a lesson in self-knowledge. In your practice, you try to listen to what is happening in your body, you are as aware and aware as possible of the changes that are being made in you and show understanding of your capacities. Love and respect your body! Accept it with its peculiarities and weaknesses… With all these features that make us all unique!

Take sometime after the class to reflect on what you did in the class today: In this way, everything new you have learned will be imprinted on you. Recall the poses you took today and note if you want any instructions, you found helpful. Even if you remember only one thing from each lesson, write it down and you’ll soon get more information to help you improve your practice and change your life!
